Last year we went apple picking and then met Obie in Asheville for dinner so of course we had to do this again! We had a wonderful time in the mountains picking all sorts of apples and eating donuts and then off to Asheville we went for dinner. After dinner we walked around the city and listened to people play music and we just had to stop in a chocolate shop and get dessert!
We love you and had so much fun with you Obie!
Dinner with Obie at Mellow Mushroom...lots of pizza and pretzel's were consumed!!!
When you put money in the statue's bucket he "came to life" and sang for you. The girls couldn't figure out if he was real or not!
Cute little turkeys made out of frosting and gum balls.
Exhausted from a fun filled day they slept the entire way home!
My wonderful Aunt Brenda, or as people here in South Carolina know her as Bren, organzied the Pink Posse team for the 2009 Walk for Life, which raised the most money and of course had the most "bling". Here are some pictures from our pinkalicious day!
I decided to take Caleigh and Alona bowling today and we had lots of fun. I laughed the entire time as they threw, yes threw not rolled, the balls down the lanes and then came running back clapping about how they scored everytime they knocked a pin down.
Caleigh and Alona were in the Okra Strutt parade this past weekend with their dance company. They were excited about tying ribbons in their hair and on their t-shirts and although it was a little rainy they had huge smiles on their faces as they rode on the float in the parade.
My sweet little doodle-bug is now SIX years old!!! I can not believe how quickly time has passed and as I look at my baby I am realizing that she is not really my baby anymore but my little girl. She is very much into anything that is girly-girl but has added riding her bike and scooter to her list of things she likes!
Strawberries and cheese quesadillas are her favorite food right now so I wasn't surprised when she asked for a cake that had chocolate and strawberries on it as well as quesadillas! We had a wonderful time swimming and celebrating another year with family and friends. Thank you Aunt Jamee and Uncle Johnny for opening up your home for us to use!
More pictures to come when I get them off of Aunt Jamee's camera!
Caleigh's first day of kindergarten was wonderful! She went with shopping with Aunt Jamee as well and found the perfect outfit as she said because, "it has pink and leopard and sparkles and these are all of my favorite things. It's just perfect!"
I think because I had prepared myself so much for her going to a 'big girl school' that I was ok with the whole process of dropping her off. After I left her I did tear up a couple of times and was thankful that I had a bunch of errands to run to distract myself. Caleigh adores her teachers, Ms. Gayle and Ms. Bishop, and has already learned so much in just a few weeks! I am amazed at how grown-up she seems after just a month in school!
Alona was so precious on her first day of school! She went shopping with Aunt Jamee earlier in the week and picked out an outfit all by herself, which of course was a dress that when she spins around the dress twirls with her! She loves school and her teacher, Ms. Shaw. This is her last year at the preschool and then off to big girl school with her sissy!
The girls went to their first baseball game tonight, with their friend Aubrey, and loved it!During the game they sat in their seats with bags of boiled peanuts and actually watched the game. My camera died before the game started, but I was able to capture some pictures of the pre-game activities.
Kim we had a wonderful time tonight with you and Aubrey!
